Chefahoola wins Weather Forecaster of the Year 2010

Well, Chef Pat’s plans for bringing sunshine to January were spectacularly successful – Saturday was filled with sunshine and blue sky! I’m not sure which was enjoyed the most – the sunshine or her BBQ Pork Ribs.

Wine Sleuths Post major Wins!

Congratulations to Richard AND Mary Castaneda, Bill Lehman, Jimmy the Hat Bowers, and Rand Dawson, winners of the weekend’s Zinfandel / Primitivo tasting! Each won a bottle of their favorite wine for correctly identifying the wines!

Winter Folk Fete

We were happy to donate 10% of the weekend’s proceeds to the ‘Concert for the Kids’ program at the Winter Folk Festival. Thanks to Hal Weiner for his efforts to bring a great musical event to Florence for all of the area’s kids to experience and enjoy.

DINNER AND A MOVIE

On Saturday night there will be special FREE showing of the documentary “Ingredients” at 7PM in the Rhody Room, thanks to Bruce Baumrucker. This film illustrates ways in which people (and Chefs) around the country are working to re-establish the lost connection to their local farmers. No self respecting foodie should miss this film!
